About Me
Helping people doing good things to show their impact
Hello, I am Julia Knight-Bennett. I work with arts, culture and charity organisations to help them make sense of the difference they are making—then communicate it clearly to the people who need to know: funders, boards, and the communities they serve.
I specialise in evaluation, reporting, and storytelling that feels real—not robotic. My background is in education, operations, and project delivery, so I understand what it is like to juggle limited time and resources. My job is to make your job easier.
Why I do what I do
After years working in roles that straddled creativity, community and logistics, I realised that the most inspiring work often goes unrecognised—simply because it is hard to explain.
Too many organisations are so busy doing the work, they have no time to document it.
That is where I come in. I help you pause, reflect, and put your impact into words and numbers that people understand.
What matters to me
Clarity – because messy data can still tell a clear story
Integrity – honest reporting builds trust
Creativity – data is not dry when it is well told
Collaboration – I work with you, not just for you
Impact – because your work deserves to be seen
A bit of background
I spent over 20 years in education before moving into arts and charity work. Most recently, I was Operations Manager for a small touring theatre company in Cornwall. I am a member of the UK Evaluation Society and have supported local organisations with everything from impact frameworks to final funding reports.
I now work independently, offering evaluation support that is down-to-earth, flexible, and tailored to your needs.
